Coffee-table, Photography,
and Fine Art Books

Showcase Your Fine Art, Photography,
Exhibit, and Event

Coffee-table, photography, and fine art books are works of art. More than decoration, more than free-reading, more than a collection of images, they communicate beauty, longevity, and history. We design spreads individually, so that each book we do is aesthetically singular. Our books have been used for fundraising, community outreach, historical celebrations, portfolios, and much more.

These books are an investment. We use the highest quality paper and binding, and we spare no detail in the design. They are not cost-effective to do in small numbers, so we recommend a minimum print run of 500 copies. If this does not seem like the right fit for your project, please speak with us. We can create classy and professional books in softcover in these sizes, as well, and we can work with you to come up with a book that meets your goals.

Whether you want to showcase your personal portfolio or document a community event, a book is a medium, a calling card, even an introduction. Orange Frazer Press designs professional books deserving of your artwork or event, and we work with you every step of the way to maintain the integrity of your medium or community. Because we work with book manufacturers (carefully chosen over many decades) rather than commercial printers, we can guarantee that your book will last a lifetime.

Who Do We Work With?

We work with foundations, communities, individuals, art collectors, cultural institutions, fine artists, photographers, event coordinators, communities, and others to showcase art, cultural places, exhibitions, events, communities and more.

Where to Start

Every book is radically different. Production specifications and manufacturing needs will vary depending on your project.

Photography books

Photography books require high-resolution scanning (for physical prints) or raw files (for digital prints). We can scan photos for you, but if you do scan them yourself, please contact us so that we can discuss ideal image resolution for your scans. Please do not place your photos in text documents or begin to lay out your photos in a design program before submitting your work.

Fine art books

We have had the pleasure of working with a number of incredibly talented fine artists through the years, and we welcome any opportunity to create books of sketches, renderings, paintings, or other pieces. If you are considering publishing your fine art, please contact us as early in the process as possible. We can discuss potential manufacturing specifications and guide you in the preparation of your pieces for publication (including scanning your pieces and preserving the originals).

Museum exhibit books & public art books

We have worked with community art organizations across the country to publish books that are deserving accompaniments to museum exhibits and public art events. We can offer photography when needed, or work with your professional photos of the exhibit or event, to create a book of any shape or size. The Party Animals book we completed for the D.C. Commission on the Arts is an excellent example of a book series accompaniment to a public art exhibit.

Coffee-table books

When it comes to your dream coffee-table book, there is no project too daunting. We often start with the target audience—what kind of book is this audience looking for, and what design and manufacturing specifications will best meet its unique needs and expectations—and then move to what is needed to make the ideal book a reality. These projects often begin as concepts, so don't hesitate to contact us when it is still a thought or a whim. We can help you flesh out your book from there.

We Will Work With You

Whether you have a drafted manuscript complete with accompanying photos and works of art, or you have only a vague idea of your book, we will work with you. We have helped countless others create books they can be proud to display, and we would love to do the same for you. Learn more about our services here.

We have followed their work for nearly 20 years and have seen the amazing ‘track record’ they have created, making it easy to want their professional assistance when it came time to publish a book of our drawings. Orange Frazer set thoughtful guidelines and industry standards: then stepped back to gave us the freedom to create the high quality art book we had originally envisioned. We could not have done this without their expert guidance. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
